Christine Hamilton

Ms. Hamilton is a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors for the company. She has responsibilities for strategy direction of the company while maintaining its mission, vision, and values. Christine has 20 years of experience in business ownership and management. She is the Managing Partner of Christiansen Land and Cattle, Ltd., a large diversified farming and ranching operation. She also owns Dakota Packing, Inc., a company based in Las Vegas that provides products to a national customer base.

Ms. Hamilton currently sits on the Federal Reserve Board and has served on the boards of directors of a number of other entities, including the South Dakota State University Foundation's governing board, Dakota Resources, Inc. f/k/a South Dakota Rural Enterprise, Inc., South Dakota Biotech, and the South Dakota Symphony Board. Ms. Hamilton also previously served as a director of the HF Financial Corporation and Home Federal Bank based in Sioux Falls, and was a Commissioner of the South Dakota State Game, Fish and Parks Department for seven years.

In addition, she and her family formed the Matson Halverson Christiansen Hamilton Foundation (MHCH) in 2000, a not-for-profit foundation established to promote South Dakota and its future in the changing global economy and to create and develop activities and initiatives that promote vitality in rural economies. 

Christine has a degree in Philosophy from Smith College and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona. She has four daughters who live in Houston, Texas, and seven grandchildren. She and her husband Dr. Eddie Hamilton live in Chamberlain and Sioux Falls, and travel frequently to Nevada and Texas.
